Rejection Policy

The Editorial Office of Journal of Spatio-temporal Information Science hereby makes the following provisions regarding the withdrawal of manuscripts by authors and Editorial and Publication Commission (as applicable).

1) Voluntary withdrawal by the submitter

(1) If an author requests to withdraw a manuscript for personal reasons after successfully submitting it through the online submission system, he/she should provide a reasonable explanation to the Editorial and Publication Commission.

(2) Authors who wish to withdraw a manuscript that has been reviewed and accepted must fill out an Author Withdrawal Application Form.

(3) If an author requests to withdraw a manuscript that has been submitted to the editor for typesetting due to personal reasons, in addition to providing a detailed Author Withdrawal Application Form, the author must compensate the editorial office for the costs of review, editing and typesetting.

(4) If an author withdraws a manuscript twice due to personal reasons, the Editorial and Publication Commission has the right to refuse to accept the manuscript as the first author or corresponding author within one year.

2) Withdrawal by the Editorial and Publication Commission

(1) If the editorial office finds that a manuscript received involves academic misconduct, it will communicate with the author and submit relevant materials to the Editorial and Publication Committee to decide whether to withdraw the manuscript.

(2) If the manuscript has not been officially published, the Editorial and Publication Commission will withdraw the manuscript and fill in the withdrawal statement by the Editorial and Publication Commission.

(3) If the manuscript has been officially published, the Editorial and Publication Commission will publish a retraction statement on the website of Journal of Spatio-temporal Information and the latest issue, and send the retraction statement to the relevant database collection agency to withdraw all data and information about the manuscript.

(4) For authors and corresponding authors who have committed academic misconduct in the paper, the Editorial and Publication Commission has the right to refuse to accept papers in which they are listed as authors within three years.
