Journal Introduction
As spatio-temporal information has become an important new infrastructure strongly supported by the country, moving from geographic information to spatio-temporal information and building a spatio-temporal information technology system with comprehensive dynamic perception, systematic precise cognition, and global intelligent management and control as the main technical features has become a hot topic of common concern in the scientific and industrial communities. In order to effectively promote the development and application of spatio-temporal information science and technology, and better empower the country's high-quality development, and the digital transformation of the whole society, the Geomatics World which had been developed for 30 years was approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources, and National Press and Publication Administration, then would have been renamed to Journal of Spatio-temporal Information in April, 2023.
Journal of Spatio-temporal Information is an academic journal superintended by the Ministry of Natural Resources, sponsored by the National Geomatics Center of China, China Association for Geographic Industry and Sciences, and Heilongjiang Bureau of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information. The journal, founded in 1994, is publicly distributed both domestically and internationally, and is bimonthly. It is indexed by the China Science and Technology Paper and Citation Database (CSTPCD).
Purpose of the publication Exploring the development direction of spatiotemporal information, publish the latest research results in the field of spatiotemporal information, create a high level academic and technical exchange platform, and serve high quality development.
Publishing Contents: in the latest theoretical exploration, technological innovation and high-level engineering application articles in the field of spatiotemporal information, introduce the latest international research frontiers, and tell vivid stories or major projects of spatiotemporal information empowering high-quality development. Key columns include Scientific Frontiers, Spatio-temporal Perception, Spatio-temporal Modeling, Spatio-temporal Cognition, Spatio-temporal Empowerment, and Good Engineering Practice.
