Scope of manuscripts
Currently, spatio-temporal information has become an important new infrastructure. From geographic information to spatio-temporal information, research and construction of a spatio-temporal information technology system with comprehensive dynamic perception, systematic precise cognition, global intelligent management and control as the main technical features have become a hot topic of common concern in the scientific and industrial field.
Exploring the development direction of spatiotemporal information, publish the latest research results in the field of spatiotemporal information, create a high level academic and technical exchange platform, and serve high quality development. Publish in the latest theoretical exploration, technological innovation and high-level engineering application articles in the field of spatiotemporal information, introduce the latest international research frontiers, and tell vivid stories or major projects of spatiotemporal information empowering high-quality development. Key columns include Scientific Frontiers, Spatio-temporal Perception, Spatio-temporal Modeling, Spatio-temporal Cognition, Spatio-temporal Empowerment, and Good Engineering Practice.
Scientific Frontiers Scientific reviews, expert forums, industry progress, and commentary in the field of spatio-temporal information, etc.
Spatio-temporal Perception Theoretical methods and technologies for multi-source spatio-temporal data acquisition and intelligent processing, such as intelligent interpretation of remote sensing images, navigation and positioning data acquisition, etc.
Spatio-temporal Modeling The multi-dimensional dynamic resource information description-modeling-expression, spatio-temporal information model construction, and theories & methods for building 3D realistic geospatial landscape model.
Spatio-temporal Cognition Mechanisms of ‘Pattern-Process-Service’ for natural resources, matching relationships of territorial spatial elements, coupling-evolution laws of human-land relationships, big data mining and analysis, cloud computing and artificial intelligence methods, etc.
Spatio-temporal Empowerment Fundamental theories of spatio-temporal information knowledge services and intelligent decision-making, including technical methods and cases of service platforms, knowledge services, and empowering applications.
Good Engineering Practice Application technologies and demonstration cases of spatio-temporal information in economic and social development and national major engineering constructions.
Principles of manuscript selection
Articles submitted to the Journal of Spatio-temporal Information must not have been published anywhere else or in any form. The journal does not accept articles submitted to multiple journals. Submitted papers should meet the following conditions:
(1) being the latest achievements in basic theory or applied research in the field of spatio-temporal information.
(2) having important scientific significance and innovation (new ideas, new methods, new understandings, new discoveries, etc.).
(3) having a significant role in promoting research in this field and (or) related fields.
Note: When submitting the manuscript, ‘Submission Letter’ must be provided. The "Submission Letter" should include the following information: (1) The scientific innovation or engineering practice pioneering nature of the paper and its significance; (2) The contact information of the first author and the corresponding author; (3) 3 - 5 domestic and international peer experts as candidate reviewers, and reviewers who are requested to be avoided can also be proposed.
We welcome submissions from all sectors.
